In my attempts to retain a balanced and interesting internet presence, I have found that I am going to have to be able to streamline my posting so that I can update all of the outlets at the same time (Behance, Facebook, Twitter, Website) and still use Tumblr as my same drawing/progress/news blog.
But since this particular account was made as a secondary blog, I am going to have to relocate it. I understand that this will mean that I will lose some followers, and be an INCONVENIENCE TO ALL, but I promise that the art will be better and the blog will be generally more fun to look at.
I would appreciate your support, and will be hosting a give away soon for anyone who reblogs the contest post on my NEW SITE.
Spread the word. I am going to do a quick art dump as a last huzzah, but after that, ALL NEW THINGS WILL BE FOUND OVER HERE.
Took so long to draw this that my beer is warm. Need to get…faster.
Sketch today: some guy.
Unused cover for North American Review. Done as a class assignment for Gary Kelley at the Illustration Academy workshop, week 2.
Finished They Might Be Giants commission for Jake Kapusta!
Mixed Media, 2014, 4x7.5” (guessing)
I recently was given the opportunity to participate in the Illustration Academy’s 4 week summer workshop! Currently working from the facility in Kansas city and will be staying until the end of June. It is an amazing opportunity. Some of the artists that we will be receiving instruction and critique from are Mark & John English, George Pratt, Gary Kelly, Jon Foster, Sterling Hundley (Among many others).
The first week’s assignment was to create an image based only on shape design, with flat & patterned fills, no outlines.
Here is a preview of my pre-critique painting, mixed media, 14x14”
I will continue to update when given the opportunity.
Page one [Preview!] of an upcoming zine for LGAL. Have to wrap this one up quick.
Lines for a recently completed painting commission. Will post the finished piece once it is delivered to the client.
LIFE. IT’S BUSY AND THINGS.
Preview: Working on a self reflective zine about my teenage journey through insomnia and severe panic attacks, as seen above. YOU’RE HOOKED, I KNOW. THRILLING.
I also recently made some stickers for a birthday friend. Enjoy.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Pokemon fusion dodles.
Hauntpuff would be better.

My final piece for portfolio.
I wanted to represent the feeling of physical relief that comes when everything thaws and the sun comes back out. I feel really trapped and frustrated by the sensation of being cold. It happens frequently. I also, as many others do, struggle with depression in the winter months. Why do I live in Michigan? Ughh.
SIDENOTE: Done with school. High five.
This little guy was lost in a car accident. Sorry again Niki, I wish you had more time together.
